Super Yummy Pot Roast – Only 15 Minutes to Make

by Shannon on January 28, 2011

Seriously, this is one of my favorite meals to make. It’s absolutely delicious and it only takes me 15 minutes to make and then it cooks up super tender and delicious in the Slow Cooker (Crock Pot).

Add savory and hearty flavors to your favorite family meals as they gently simmer in the slow cooker.

McCormick Slow Cooker Pot Roast Seasoning

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH

You Will Need

2 1/2 to 3 pounds boneless chuck or rump roast, well-trimmed
1 package McCormick® Slow Cookers Savory Pot Roast Seasoning
5 cups cut-up fresh vegetables, such as carrots, celery, onions and potatoes (I put 1 bag of baby carrots, a package of sliced mushrooms, 3 stalks of celery cut into 1 – 2″ pieces, 4 medium potatoes cut up and 1 medium onion sliced)
1 cup water

PLACE roast and vegetables in slow cooker.

MIX Seasoning and water until blended. Pour over roast and vegetables. Cover.

COOK 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH. Remove roast and vegetables to serving platter. Stir sauce before serving. (I always do the 8 hours and the meat comes out so tender!)
Makes 8 servings.
IMPORTANT:   For best results, do not remove cover during cooking.

I always end up with a ton of left-overs so I freeze half for another time and then keep some to make hot open faced sandwiches…YUMMMMM!!!
